What this is, and is not

AmIOwed is a free, independent tool that checks whether a flight may qualify for compensation under UK261 and EU261 and shows you the free do-it-yourself route alongside the paid one. We are not a law firm and not a claim agency, and the result is information, not legal or financial advice. Claiming direct with the airline is always free. Whether a claim succeeds is decided by the airline and, ultimately, the relevant authority or court, not by us.

Accuracy

We apply the rules as we understand them to the details you enter and to public flight data, but we cannot guarantee the result is complete or error-free, and flight data can be wrong or incomplete. Treat the verdict as a starting point and confirm your own eligibility before relying on it. The site is provided "as is" and may change or be unavailable at any time.

If you choose to use a claim agency through a link here, their own terms and fees apply, and we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes our verdict. See the methodology for how we work it out.

Acceptable use and liability

Use the site for your own, lawful, personal use; do not scrape or republish it at scale or interfere with how it runs. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or from a decision you make based on it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
